Mr. Hollander graduated from the University of Johannesburg with an LLB degree and has since built a strong foundation in various legal fields. His expertise spans general commercial litigation, labour and family Law, showcasing his wide-ranging legal knowledge.

Following his articles and two years of post-admission service, Mr. Hollander specialized in compliance with the B-BBEE Act at a BEE verification agency. This experience provided him with a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, labour relations and compliance practices.

He later joined a leading Insurance Underwriting Manager's legal department, where he was swiftly promoted to legal manager. In this role, he managed the short-term insurance litigation team and the micro-insurance legal assistance department, demonstrating his leadership and legal acumen.

Mr. Hollander's career is characterized by his commitment to excellence and his ability to thrive in complex legal environments. His expertise in commercial litigation, combined with his knowledge of labour and family Law, makes him a valuable asset in the legal field.

Mrs. Palm is a accomplished professional with a diverse background. She graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a B.Com LLB degree, laying the foundation for her career in the legal profession. She specializes in civil litigation, with a focus on areas such as banking, insurance, contractual, regulatory, and compliance matters.

Mrs. Palm's career has seen her excel in the corporate sphere, where she has held roles including GM and Executive Member. These positions have not only honed her legal skills but also provided her with a deep understanding of corporate dynamics and challenges. Joining the firm in 2021, Yolandi serves as an Attorney in the KwaZulu-Natal Branch, where she plays a pivotal role in overseeing the Litigation Department. Her expertise lies in Insurance and Third-Party Recovery Litigation, where she has represented clients in both the High Court and Magistrates Court. Yolandi is particularly skilled in commercial litigation, specializing in areas such as bank foreclosures, vehicle asset finance recoveries and debt collection.

Candice Teixeira is a result driven legal assistant with experience in civil litigation, family law and the administration of deceased estates. She joined the litigation department in 2021 and works under the guidance and mentorship of Mrs. Palm.

Candice is currently completing her studies to qualify as a Paralegal highlighting her commitment to furthering her legal career. Her unwavering dedication to growth and excellence ensures she constantly expands her legal knowledge and skills through short learning courses. Candice’s enthusiasm for law coupled with her resilient and zealous nature makes her a great asset to Palm Hollander. .

Chriszane is a versatile senior recovery advisor, team leader, and manager with over a decade of experience in the insurance industry. Her expertise encompasses recoveries, liabilities, claims, and salvage, showcasing a broad understanding of legal insurance concepts.

After completing her matriculation in 2009, Chriszane pursued various courses to expand her skills, including telephone etiquette, professional administration, and achieving an NQF level 4 in claims assessing. With more than 10 years in the industry, she has excelled in building trust with colleagues and clients, particularly in her role as a recoveries manager for medium to large insurance companies. Throughout her career, she has consistently trained and motivated staff to achieve targets and meet business objectives.

Chriszane's key skills include strong administrative abilities, a focus on deadlines and results, and proficiency in query resolution, which are essential in her current position. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and effective negotiation tactics.

With her comprehensive knowledge of claims, recoveries, liabilities, and salvage, Chriszane is a valuable asset in the legal field and to Palm Hollander.

Carolynn Leigh Kistadoo is a dedicated Candidate Attorney working in the Litigation Department. She graduated with her Bachelor of Laws Degree from Varsity Collage in 2022 and thereafter proceeded to obtain her postgraduate Master of Laws degree in environmental law at the University of Cape Town. The corporate and commercial sphere continuously evolve. We assist clients to stay ahead of these changes and adapt with a pro-active mindset. Our services include commercial drafting, litigation and contract management.

Both directors gained extensive experience and exposure in the short and long-term insurance environment and have used this knowledge to develop an insurance law practice specialising in advice relating to policy fulfillment, claims administration, ombud referrals and third party and recovery processes as well as all litigation resulting therefrom. We have developed a purpose-built system to facilitate bulk handover and reporting with real-time client engagement and access.

The regulatory and compliance team conducts business and operational reviews with specific emphasis on FAIS, POPI, FICA, CPA and NCA compliance.

We assist with advice and support in drafting of wills and administration of deceased estates. Included in the above are the reporting of the estate to the Master, obtaining letters of executorship or Section 18(3) letters of appointment, drafting liquidation and distribution accounts and winding up of the late estate.
